I did want to tell everybody how much we love our Sunday School class. They have become dear friends, and I know that those friendships are from the Lord above. It was only a few months ago that I was wishing to be in my home church where people knew my name. And guess what...being faithful in attendance and getting involved does the same thing. I've seen kids from children's choir in the grocery story and they recognize me. (Not that I'm famous or anything, but you get my drift). I am loving me some First Baptist Church Cabot!
So this past Sunday was SUPER busy. After church, we went to Calvin and Ginger Aldridge's house for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner. It was SO good! I can't wait to try her Brisket recipe. We had a good visit with everybody, then the girls piled up in one of the church vans and hit the town. It was so much fun (but not that much fun, Holly), and we're even thinking about taking the van across the river to Memphis. Ginger was the driver and she did a wonderful job. They dropped me off at home at 5, and then Brent and I headed right back up to church for a potluck supper with everybody in the music ministry. I'm not sure this was the best thing to do, but afterwards we had choir practice. I didn't eat that much, so I know some other people had trouble singing. It was a long practice, and I am praying that someone who is lost will hear the message and give their life to Christ.
Here are some pictures from Sunday afternoon...
Kristen and Jake eating her yummy cake she made.
Think I had food in my mouth and of course the cheeseball I'm married to always has to make a face.
A little better...
We are a fun bunch, let me tell you! L to R: Brittany Webb, Kristen Steelman, me, Katy Hill, Ginger, Kari Tate, and her mom Nancy Cardona
Pretty sure they were making fun of us getting in the van so ungracefully.
