Happy Halloween from Buzz Lightyear

I know I jumped from the first day of school to Halloween, but this has been an extremely busy fall for the Haywoods.

I know Halloween is a "secular" holiday, but I love it, especially at this age.  He's getting out of his shyness (somewhat), but he's not so obsessed with getting a lot of candy like bigger kids. Our first Halloween event was a party at school.  We love his school and they do such a great job of teaching and taking care of him.

Apparently Jackson is a ladies man.  This little girl says that he is her boyfriend.  Don't know about that, but I'm glad he has friends.  ha!

Mrs. Chelsea is his teacher and she is precious and very dedicated to her job.

After running a few errands and resting a little, we got ready for the big night.  Here's our pre-Trick-or-Treat photo shoot.

Our Halloween tradition has been to drive over to the Yates house and go trick-or-treating with them.  They live behind us, and this year Jackson and Jack Thomas played so well together.

Don't touch my wings, bro.

Little sister had to get in on the mix - she wasn't quite impressed with the event.

We hit up about 5 houses, and then it got really chilly.  We went inside to eat a bite of supper, and then the boys stayed inside to play.  Jeff's mom was there and watched the kids while the grown-ups got to sit outside and pass out candy.  It was a treat to get to hang out uninterrupted like the old days.

Another great Halloween in the books.  I can't believe how fast it went, but he was a super cute Buzz Lightyear.  To infinity...and BEYOND!

Trunk or Treat 2014

We had Trunk or Treat at church this year on the Wednesday before Halloween.  Tori Harrison and I did a football theme trunk, and it was a big success.  We had at least 800 people there.

Here's Buzz Lightyear ready for fun!

Buzz and Woody - together again.

Tori's husband is a football coach in Beebe and had this net we used for a game.

Shanna Hill just "threw together" this Star Wars trunk.  It was awesome.

See  - told ya it was a lot of people.

Buzz had to get his laser out to see.

The lines were really long for most of the games, so we tried to hit up all the ones that were just giving out candy.  Mrs. Shanna gave him some of the good stuff.

Next up...the real Halloween!
